Reorder PDF Pages

Ad

Rearrange the pages of a PDF into any order you like. Move a page to the front, swap two sections around, or rebuild the whole document from scratch — all in your browser, with nothing uploaded.

How it works

You describe the finished document as a list of page numbers. The tool creates a new empty PDF and copies pages across in exactly that sequence, so the list you write is the output order.

Ranges are expanded in the direction you write them, and the shorthand "9-" means "page 9 through to the end" — handy for putting one page at the front without listing everything else individually.

Pages are copied intact, so text stays selectable and image quality is unchanged. Your original file isn't modified.

Worked example

A 12-page report has its executive summary stranded on page 7, but it should open the document. Entering 7, 1-6, 8- moves that page to the front and keeps everything else in its existing order.

Another case: a double-sided scan that came out with all the odd pages first and all the even pages after. Listing the pages in interleaved order rebuilds the document correctly.

Common questions

How do I describe the new order?

List every page in the order you want it to appear — for example "3, 1, 2" puts the third page first. You can use ranges too, so "5-8, 1-4" swaps two halves of an eight-page document.

What happens to pages I don’t mention?

They’re dropped. This tool builds the new document strictly from the list you give it, so anything left out won’t appear. End your list with a range like "9-" to sweep up the remaining pages.

Can I repeat a page?

Yes. Listing the same number twice includes that page twice, which is occasionally handy for duplicating a cover or a separator sheet.

Is this different from splitting a PDF?

Only in intent. Both build a new file from a list of pages, so the split tool can reorder and this tool can drop pages. Use whichever framing matches what you’re trying to do.

Does my file get uploaded?

No. The reordering happens in your browser and your document never leaves your device.
